As a broke college student it may be a little hard finding inexpensive ways to spice up your everyday natural hair looks. But I have 2 tutorials for some quick, easy, and cheap ways to change your look and be more creative with your hair

Afro Puffs Tutorial

This hairstyle is great for naturals with any hair length. All you’ll need are two elastic hair ties, some gel or edge control, a soft bristle brush, and some colorful barrettes (optional).

Step 1 : Part your hair into two sections, you can part it to one side if you like. Whatever looks best on you.

Step 2: Apply the gel to the front of your hair on both sides and brush it upward into two small puffs.

Step 3: Once you’ve slicked your hair up, use the ponytails to tie them, and then fluff out your two puffs.

Step 4: You can also use the gel to do your edges, and also clip two barrettes in an x on both sides of your part (optional but looks really good)

Step 5: Rock your new do !

Frohawk Tutorial

Frohawk: For this hairstyle you will need three hair ties, a couple of bobby pins, gel or edge control, and a soft bristle brush.

Step 1: Part your hair in three sections from the front of your head to the back and ties them in place with a hair tie. (You are sectioning not parting your hair from the side.)

Step 2: Start with the section on at the front of your head, apply gel and brush upwards to the top of your head and then tie it back up again. Repeat this step for all three sections.

Step 3: After your hair is all sleeked upwards into a frohawk, take your bobby pins and pin up any loose hairs you may have.

Step 4: It’s always a good idea to do your babyhairs/edges to give the look an extra sleekness.

Step 5: Enjoy your Frohawk ad rock this new edgy look around campus sometime!
